A Coastal Debate

In an effort to fake being hip, I’m calling myself bi-coastal. It’s semi-legit. I’m spending a very large chunk of time in LA writing, but my home is in New York City. I feel so chic describing myself in this way. My Twitter profile even reflects this east-west split, which makes it super official right?

But it’s sparked both a constant mental debate – between me and me – and between me, and basically everyone in LA. Everyone, that is who has ever been to New York or lived in New York or dreamed of living in New York. 

Which city is better? New York or Los Angeles? Glitter verses Grit. Hollywood verses Wall Street. Winter tans verses winter blues.  Continue reading
